Super Mario vs Pacman by Unknown
This was a ride from beginning to end
This was so entertaining to watch
i hit my coworkers shoulder lightly and he was like “you’re going to make me cry like a girl” and i was like “what’s wrong with being a girl?” and he was quiet for a moment then he looked into the distance and whispered “the social standards they’re forced to live by”
So at work yesterday we only had pink spoons to hand out for the frozen yogurt and every male asked if we had a different color spoon because they did not like pink and it’s femininity and lemme tell u that this proves boys are weak and a fuckjng pink spoon proved that
since abercrombie an fitch destroys its unsold clothes and wont donate bc poor people wearing their clothes gives them a bad image i say everyone should donate as much abercrombie and fitch brand clothing that you have to homeless shelters so you can simultaneously piss off a shitty company and help those in need
The <title> of this page is “Do Consumers Want More Women In Video Games?” The results of this survey will be presented at GDC15, so let’s tell ‘em a resounding “FUCK YEAH!”
DO THE THING
fucking tumblr bomb this shit
I don’t really get it. Why are we taking this so seriously?
I don’t mind what gender the protagonist is, but as a heterosexual woman I’d rather play a male character simply because I’m attracted to guys. And what I fear about having female characters as protagonist is the tendency for the to be sexualized (inb4 feminazi)
If you must know South East Asian MMORPG gamers usually pick the opposite gender as their character in the game. And we seem to have forgotten about Lara Croft, Samus Aran, Heather Mason, Terra Bradford, Bayonetta and the fact that we can play as female main character in Dragon Age. Not to mention most protagonists in Atelier series (J-RPGs) are girls. heck look at TOUHOU! Look at Kantai Collection!
Tell me why is this a big deal again?
First off… Just because you like playing male protagonists to see male protagonist buns doesn’t mean the rest of us do.
Some of us like to play female characters because we want to immerse ourselves deeper into the gameplay. To do that we sometimes prefer to play the our actual genders/sex. So as a woman I do enjoy playing as a female character more than I tended to do while playing as male. Games like Mass Effect and Dragon age are fucking God sends to me because I can choose to play a girl as a girl in real life.
The only times I ever played male characters is if I had absolutely no choice (which is 75% of the time) or if none of the female chacters have fighting styles I want (aka Tekken).
Second you don’t even know what reason most people have for choosing opposite genders in MMORPGs??? I’m from the Philippines and I’ve had guy friends and brother who played female characters in RAN online simply because they enjoyed kicking ass and breaking it to other players that they were straight guys in real life. I played the opposite gender simply because the clothing choices for female characters didn’t fit my taste. No way am I making my character wear a top that looks like a 10 year old could wear it or a skirt that shouldn’t be worn by someone who’s supposed to be flying high during the Dance of Death.
Also… Are you seriously going to compare the ratio of male protagonists to female protagonists? Good luck trying find an equal number between them.
And if this isn’t a big deal, why do you even care that people are doing this? If having more female characters is no big deal then this shouldn’t even bother you in the least.
If only every concept was explained with a Disney reference, I’d be doing even better in law school.
Lois doesn’t have time for this @#$! From Max Fleischer’s Superman (1941)
